attitude
I stumbled upon this while browsing through my regualr blog reads. And it spoke out to me like how everything I have been reading these days speak out to me: hitting me in the face with no possibility of dodging.
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes." - Charles Swindoll
How true this is.
My attitude determines the direct outcome of my life situations.
These days what I have been reading seem to speak out to me alot on the current situation I find myself in. I am compelled to share these thoughts but I can't seem to find the words for it. All I can say is the road infront of me is a challenge, a challenge so high it feels worse than running hurdles - if you know my bad history with P.E. you'll know this is huge.
But it is a challenge I gladly accept and take as I know that there is a purpose and reason for eveything.
